Lucy H Smith is a freelance illustrator based in Cornwall, with a passion for nature and storytelling.
Her first published work was when she won a competition to design a book cover for The Bras and the Bees: The Extraordinary Life of BJ Sherriff by FA Notley. Since then, Lucy has created book covers for two of Cornwall Writers’ anthologies as well as books published by Hermitage Press.
Lucy graduated from Falmouth University with a degree in illustration in 2019 and loves illustrating children’s books. Her work is greatly inspired by the British countryside and the little creatures that live there. She loves using art as a form of storytelling and to bring characters to life.
