Kiera was born and raised on the north coast of Cornwall, and much of her writing is inspired by the rugged caves and Atlantic breezes of her childhood.
As a writer, Kiera has become one of an esteemed group of scholars and academics who specialise in Cornish culture. Her articles cover a wide range of topics, including music, history, and anthropology. She contributes to numerous publications and is high demand as a researcher and contributor. She is currently studying for her PhD/MPhil in Cornish Studies at the University of Exeter.
In 2019, Kiera won the Cornish Story Short Story Prize for her supernatural tale “Whatever Is Left”.
When not writing, Kiera is a professional classical singer and music technician.
