J C Berry lives in beautiful Cornwall with his family, soon to be husband, and hyper Jack Russell Terrier. James has always been an enthusiastic reader but his passion for writing started in college. After sharing his work with his mother, she encouraged him to seek publication. James then self-published his comic book series ‘Native Lands’ with a small team of incredibly talented artists as well as a one-page comic ‘Omen of Death’ and ‘A Sunset in Spring’ which was featured in the anthology ‘All the King’s Men’.
Taking a break from publication, he studied Creative Writing at Falmouth University and his poem ‘Dandelions’ was featured in ‘The Wandering Heath’ – a student led publication. James continued to also work in medical administration until he moved to educational admin. Following his career move, he self-published his debut novel ‘The Flesh Auction’.
Having previously published under his full name, James decided to take on a penname. He writes J C Berry to give thanks to his mother who has been one of his biggest supporters and has read everything he has written.
