Ella Walsworth-Bell is an NHS speech therapist working with young people with mental health disorders. She started writing when she took an adult education evening class in creative writing and hasn’t looked back since. Her short stories have been published in People’s Friend, Dawntreader, Mythic Circle, Paperbound. In 2019, she won a mentorship with Kirsty Logan through Cunning Folk magazine. She also won the Creative Cultures South-West short stories competition and was included in their anthology. She was commissioned by Apples and Snakes in collaboration with Trinity House Bristol to write and create a poetry film for climate change. This focus on poetry led to her taking up a funded place on an Arvon residential course. She is also part of the Cornwall Writers group short story anthology project Secret and Hidden. The Morvoren sea swimming poetry project is her dream-child.
