Bare-a cabaret dancer’s life

Cornish born, Tessa was sent to ballet boarding school in London, training in classical ballet for eleven years.

Breaking the mould, she then became a cabaret dancer and devised her own acrobatic solo show. She toured the world for twenty five years.

Bare is a revealing and shocking account of what really went on behind the scenes: the dangerous, seedy life of the night.

“In twenty five years of being a cabaret dancer in some of the most glamorous venues in the world I never lost that thrill of standing behind the curtain. The moment the announcer makes his introduction, the second the music strikes up and the heavy velvet curtain sweeps back, you are in another world.”
